Kids Exercise and Math Video Wins Prestigious Education Award

The Exploracise Gymathtics DVD teaches math and healthy lifestyle concepts during a 30-minute workout and just won its NINTH prestigious industry award in eleven months. What does this DVD have that parents, kids, physicians, and teachers all love? Gymathtics gets kids off the couch or out of their chairs for 30 minutes AND they learn Math at the same time.

The new educational exercise DVD has received nine coveted awards including the most recent Learning Magazine 2010 Teacher’s Choice Award for the Family, Dr. Toy 100 Best Children’s Product, Dr. Toy 10 Best Active Product, Creative Child Magazine DVD of the Year, National Association for Gifted Children Recommended List, Mom’s Best Award, Dr. Toy Best Vacation Children’s Product, Telly Award, and Aegis Award. In the Creative Child Magazine Winter issue, Exploracise Gymathtics was featured as DVD of the Year.

Learning Magazine’s Teachers’ Choice Awards program is one of the most recognized and prestigious awards in the educational market. Teachers’ Choice for the Family is the only awards program that requires evaluators to be both a teacher and a parent. Teachers evaluate the products on educational value, originality and creativity, ease of use, safety and durability, and high-interest level and motivation for children.

“We are honored to be recognized by the most prestigious awards program in the education market. As a parent and educator, I am passionate about developing kids programming that provides beneficial screen time so children learn and exercise while watching the television. Exploramania is especially concerned about the current state of our children in this country. So many children could benefit from the Gymathtics program for both exercising their minds and bodies to get healthy and learn math, “ states Carrie Scheiner, Founder of Exploramania.

The statistics are staggering – 33% of children are overweight or obese and only 39% of 4th graders are proficient in math. Exploramania is creating interactive educational experiences to help children develop a love of learning and healthy lifestyle. The Exploracise Gymathtics DVD was created as another tool to help families, educators, and professionals combat the obesity epidemic and math challenges that affect so many children in America today. The program uses multi-sensory techniques to teach math which is proven to increase the retention and recall of concepts.

TOS Homeschool Crew Reviews

Exploramania got on board with the Homeschool Crew from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine and had almost 100 reviews from Homeschool families around the country. Each family received a Gymathtics DVD to try with their children and see if it worked well before, after, or during the school day.

It was very interesting to see so many different comments. Most were very positive and some were even surprised how much their children enjoyed using the program. A few families determined that it may not be a fit for them but acknowledged that it may work for others. There were children even age 13 using the program and as young as age 3. A few moms even joined in and most families think it is great for day when outdoor play is not possible due to the weather.

"What fun my kids had watching and exercising to the Gymathtics DVD I received as a review resource for The Old Schoolhouse review crew. I opened the package, popped it in the DVD player and asked the kids if they wanted to watch? Before I knew it they were both up kicking, jumping, squatting, bending and more. They were moving their bodies and learning math skills at the same time! They didn't even know they were learning. Exploracise says that "Gymathtics is an Interactive Math and Exercise Experience." I totally agree!"

Gymathtics received high marks as a fun kids exercise video getting kids moving and learning math at the same time. Our favorite review was one where the mother actually taped her daughter following the routine and put it on YouTube. The girl was definitely Getting Fit, Getting Smart and Having Fun! Visit to see a short video clip of Gymathtics.

Math Scores Failing for 4th Grade - Gymathtics to the Rescue

Only 43% of fourth graders identified parallel and perpendicular lines according to the 2009 Mathematics Report Card. The Award Winning Exploracise Gymathtics DVD covers this concept within the first few minutes of the program during the Shape Stretches Warm Up where the parallel line stretch helps kids learn the concept through kinesthetic, visual, and auditory techniques. Perpendicular lines and intersecting lines are also taught through visual and auditory cues.

The 2009 Mathematics Report Card published by the National Assessment of Educational Progress showed that only 39% of 4th graders are proficient or higher in math. Last I checked, a 39% is an F. The scores actually stayed the same for 4th grade from the 2007 scores and slightly improved for the 8th grade scores. A total of seven states and the District of Columbia increased their scores for 4th graders from 2007 to 2009 but four states had scores that decreased. All other states showed no significant change. How is your state or school reacting to this information?

"As a parent and very passionate educator, I was shocked. We created the Gymathtics DVD to help children learn and enjoy math while getting a healthful 30-minute workout. I did not realize how dire the challenges in math really are for kids today," states Carrie Scheiner, Exploramania Founder. Exploramania is creating interactive educational products to help children develop a love of learning and healthy lifestyle.

The Award Winning Gymathtics DVD is available at,, and select retailers. Visit to see a video preview.

Dr. Toy Announces 100 Best Children’s Products of 2009

Your Guide to Finding the Best Toys and Children’s Products
An Opportunity to be of Service to Families and Schools

By Stevanne Auerbach, PhD/Dr. Toy™

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (October 12, 2009) - As a natural, on–going part of our work as parents, teachers, early childhood specialists, and others involved with children at home or elsewhere, we observe children at play. With our own eyes we see what works…and what doesn’t hold up under tough testing – the normal barrage of active, inquisitive, and resourceful babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and older children. This guide is offered to complement your observations and to help you in selecting the right products to enhance play and learning.

We make buying decisions based on lasting play value and product applicability to children’s active, creative, and educational experiences. We can depend on the durability and versatility of such items as blocks, construction toys, games, puppets, and transportation toys. They stimulate the imagination, engage the player, have value, and hold up over time. We want to apply these standards to all the choices we make. We often hear consumers describe their experience of making a purchase, but shortly after giving little Sally or Sammy the product it falls apart – a frustrating and expensive process. Products that do not meet safety standards can be dangerous and can cause harm to children. We want to avoid these problems and always strive for excellence. I spend a great deal of time reviewing a large quantity of products created by myriad manufacturers and designers. I make sure my selections match the criteria for excellence.

Certainly age grading, name recognition, company dependability, versatility of design, and place of purchase are factors to obtain the right product. Another aspect you can depend on is a warranty. Rising costs for products require us to be wise consumers and to get extra lasting value. Certainly durable products, properly designed, and developmentally correct are worth the money. Children’s positive reactions are worth the extra effort. I utilize a complicated set of objective and subjective criteria to evaluate toys and other products. Some questions to ask are:

· Is this product worth the price?
· Does it have lasting play value?
· Is it appropriate?
· Is it fun?
· Does it meet safety standards?

Dr. Toy is pleased to have the opportunity to share her years of play and toy experiences with consumers to assist them in the selection process. This timely report features information about l00 wonderful new toys and other products from large and small companies. The toys and products selected meet my high standards for design, durability, price, quality, safety, and value.

Dr. Toy reminds parents and teachers, “Let’s not forget that “play is children’s work” and should be respected and understood by all adults. We should be thinking: “What products or “tools for play” can we obtain to provide wholesome experiences for children and provide plenty of positive play interactions.”

Dr Toy’s Smart Play/Smart Toys: How to Raise a Child with a High P.Q . (Play Quotient) was written for new parents, and others who care about children, and is available in toy, book stores or on line. Dr Toy invites consumers to take the time to describe play and product experiences and ask questions about toys and products.

Eight Awards in JUST Eight Months for the Exploracise Gymathtics DVD

Not only is the Exploracise Gymathtics DVD exercising minds and bodies of children across the country but it is being recognized by the most prestigious awards in the Toy and Educational Industries.

Just announced last week, Gymathtics won the Dr. Toy 100 Best Products 2009 and Dr. Toy 10 Best Active Products 2009. As a parent, I know that a Dr. Toy Award is like winning Olympic Gold and winning so many awards in such a short time has been an honor.

We just received the review from the National Association for Gifted Children Recommended Toy List. Only 14 products were selected for the recommended list and will be included as part of a display at the NAGC convention in November. In the September issue of Parenting for High Potential, the review reads as follows:

"A brilliant idea to combine math and exercise, this revolutionary DVD teaches math and healthy lifestyle concepts while performing a complete exercise routine. The exercise program is great for kids of all ages, while the math facts are targeted at traditional second through fifth-grade levels. After viewing this DVD, our testers continued playing this new "game" on their own, finding fun and creative ways to stretch and move their bodies into triangles, planes, intersecting lines, and a variety of other mathematical concepts. Besides getting the kids moving, this DVD's value as an inspirational tool for young math lovers is invaluable." This years NAGC recommended toy list testers considered many variables when deciding on products to include but the overall theme was "Finding Value in Play". "It is such an honor to win this prestigious award. Our first show launching the company was at the 2008 NAGC conference in Tampa and to be included on the Recommended Toy List for 2009 shows our commitment to helping children of all levels learn through fun interactive techniques," states Exploramania Founder, Carrie Scheiner.

Teen Choice Awards Celebrity Gift Suite

Exploramania had a fabulous opportunity to share the Award Winning Gymathtics DVD and new Exploracise Math Mat with celebrities at the Teen Choice Gift Room. Just a few of the celebrities that were introduced to Exploramania included Jason Earles from Hannah Montana, Chelsea Staub from Jonas, David Henrie from Wizards of Waverly Place and more than fifty others.

It was so exciting to be invited back to the Connected Celebrity Gift Room to meet new celebrities and see ones that we met previously. Jason Earles from Hannah Montana was one of the new celebrities we met. Felicia and Aaron were both so excited as huge fans of the show and Jason's character, Jackson who is the brother of Hannah Montana. He was extremely nice and eager to share the Gymathtics routine with his nieces who are the perfect age for this program.

We also saw David Henrie again and the Gymathtics kids were so excited with anticipation of the premiere of the Wizards of Waverly Place movie coming soon on the Disney Channel. Though we did not get any inside scoop, we also met David DeLuise, Jennifer Stone, and Maria Canals Barrera from the cast. This is one of our favorite shows and the kids were so excited to meet so many of the stars.

The highlight of the entire event was the hear the incredibly talented newboy band sensation WOW. They are amazing singers and performers andgenuinely nice guys. Check out our video on YouTube meeting the band. We are planning great things with them so watch for more updates.

The Making of Gymathtics 2.0

The final filming for Gymathtics 2.0 came so quickly yet was the longest to practice and film. The cast filmed the Shape Stretches Warm Up and Counting Calisthenics during the final shoot. These are my favorite parts of the movie because they have the most math.

It is important to start any exercise program with a warm up to get the body moving and ready for the more intense parts of the routine. The Shape Stretches Warm Up gets us moving our body with lines, arcs, and irregular pentagons ending with sphere kicks to bring the routine to a new dimension.

Counting Calisthenics gets your heart pumping and tongue twisted as we count integers, fractions, and pi to the 19th decimal while exercising to fun upbeat music.

As summer ends and the cast is all now back to school except Ms. Carrie, the final filming was completed to create the next level of the Award Winning Gymathtics series. Now the editing will begin with plans to have the new Exploracise Gymathtics 2.0 ready for the 2009 holiday season.

"I know the new program will help so many children learn math by having fun and getting healthy at the same time, states Ms. Carrie, "we want every parent, professional, and instructor to have more tools to help kids develop a love of learning and healthy lifestyle to be a dream stretch star for life!"

Exploramania gets chosen for third celebrity gift suite this year.

(Los Angeles, CA)—July 29, 2009 On August 7, 2009 Connected Celebrity Gift Rooms will be producing a poolside celebrity gifting suite celebrating the 2009 Teen Choice Awards. Exploramania is one of the exclusive companies selected to participate in this year’s gifting suite.

The Connected Celebrity Gifting Suite celebrating The Teen Choice Awards is the third Connected celebrity gifting suite Exploramania has participated in this year. Exploramania has previously distributed their award winning Gymathtics DVD, which teaches kids Math and healthy lifestyles, at Connected’s gifting suites celebrating the Kids Choice Awards and MTV Movie Awards earlier this year.

Stars attending these gifting suites from popular Disney and Nickelodeon shows Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny with a Chance, iCarly and Suite Life on Deck had so much fun with the Gymathtics workout. Since being a role model comes with the job, these child and teen actors were excited about receiving a gift that they could share with others to make a positive difference in their lives.

Nancee Borgnine, daughter of Oscar winner Ernest Borgnine and the VP of Marketing for Connected explained that the celebrity reaction was fantastic. She remarked, "If kids could see Kellan Lutz from Twilight having fun with Math, that would be great. Companies like Exploramania make the whole celebrity gifting phenomenon really beneficial.”

Even though she was there to receive gifts, Disney's Sonny with a Chance star Tiffany Thornton got into the spirit of giving by requesting extra Exploramania "Math" pencils to give to kids in a Children's Hospital she visits.

With all the technological distractions kids have access to these days it’s harder than ever to get them to be active, much less focus on their homework. Exploramania’s vision of bringing learning to life through interactive educational experiences mixed with the power and visibility of celebrity marketing will be a positive step to help kids develop a love of learning and a healthy lifestyle for successful lives ahead.

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards will celebrate the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion and will air Monday, Aug. 10 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Making of Exploracise Gymathtics II - Fast Paced Fun

Last week, we taped a new section being added to Gymathtics II called Algebra Aerobics. This exciting section is fast paced and increases the aerobic conditioning in the routine. Participants will get their heart pumping with Counting Calisthenics and then move to Algebra Aerobics increasing their exercise level to challenge their body and mind.

Scientific research shows that during exercise neural growth factors are released in the brain increasing retention of concepts. It is like miracle gro for the brain so you learn things better and more completely during or right after exercise. The Exploracise Gymathtics programs leverage both the increased understanding of concepts from exercise and multisensory educational techniques which is also proven to improve learning.

During this fun new part of the routine, the algebraic equation has a solution of the total number of exercises completed. You will have to wait to see the movie to learn more about the equation and exercises but I will let you in on a secret that the solution is 100 total exercises. Get ready
to condition your heart and head with Algebra Aerobics coming soon in the next Award Winning Exploracise Gymathtics II DVD.

President Clinton Highlights Economic Impact of Obesity Epidemic on Healthcare

Alliance for a Healthier Generation Receives Pioneering Innovation Award from CDC

(NEW YORK) July 27, 2009 – President Bill Clinton today brought attention to the growing healthcare costs related to obesity in the United States and the urgent need for better prevention, assessment and treatment of the childhood obesity epidemic.

President Clinton, speaking at Weight of the Nation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s inaugural conference on obesity, discussed the significant impact of obesity on our nation’s healthcare system. According to figures released by the CDC today, obesity costs our nation as much as $147 billion per year in direct health care costs and lost productivity.
The President highlighted the work of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a joint initiative of the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation, facilitating innovations to significantly reduce childhood obesity in the United States by 2015.

“Nearly one-in-three children and teens in the United States are overweight or obese,” said President Clinton. “As the healthcare costs of obesity continue to soar, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthcare Initiative has taken a lead by bringing together health insurers, employers, and national medical associations to provide more than one million kids and teens in the U.S. with healthcare benefits for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity, but we must all do more to develop innovative solutions to combat the obesity epidemic.”

Launched in February 2009, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthcare Initiative marks the first time national medical associations, leading insurers, and employers have collaborated to combat childhood obesity. Eligible children will have access to up to four follow up visits with their primary care provider and up to four visits with a registered dietitian per year (which depending on the carrier might occur through the physician’s practice). These healthcare professionals will work with children and their families on how to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

“We know that effective prevention and reversal of obesity in childhood will lead to longer and healthier lives,” said Clyde Yancy, MD, president of the American Heart Association and medical director for Baylor Heart and Vascular Institute and chief of cardiothoracic transplantation at Baylor University Medical Center. “Through the Alliance Healthcare Initiative, the best science will inform prevention and treatment to help those most in need – the overweight and obese children. The American Heart Association is delighted to partner with the Clinton Foundation on this wonderful initiative.”

Current participants in the Alliance Healthcare Initiative include the national insurers, Aetna and WellPoint, along with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, PepsiCo, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Dietetic Association.

In addition to presenting the keynote address at the conference, President Clinton accepted the Pioneering Innovation Award on behalf of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The award recognizes the success of the Alliance’s Healthy Schools Program, established to help schools develop and implement policies and practices to promote healthy eating and increase physical activity. Currently more than 5,000 schools and more than three million students across the U.S. belong to the Healthy Schools Program.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious recognition from the CDC for our work with schools,” said Ginny Ehrlich, Executive Director of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. “We believe there is no single cause and no single solution to the childhood obesity epidemic in the U.S. That is why the Alliance works to positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child’s health including at schools and in doctors’ offices.”

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation will have a prominent role at the conference. On Tuesday, July 28th Ginny Ehrlich, Alliance Executive Director will moderate a panel discussion on “Engaging Medical Systems in Obesity Prevention.” Additionally, Jessica Donze Black, Alliance Healthy Schools Program Director will moderate “Raising a Healthy Generation Once School at a Time” on Wednesday, July 29th.

About the Alliance for a Healthier Generation
The American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation joined forces in May of 2005 to create a healthier generation by addressing one of the nation’s leading public health threats – childhood obesity. The goal of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation is to reduce the nationwide prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015, and to empower kids nationwide to make healthy lifestyle choices. The Alliance works to positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child’s health: homes, schools, restaurants, doctor’s offices and communities. For more information please visit:

The Making of Gymathtics II

It is so exciting to be working on Gymathtics II. We are taking all of the wonderful things we learned about making a video the first time and creating an even better exercise and educational experience. The first Exploracise Gymathtics DVD has already won SIX awards so how can Gymathtics II top it.

Well, I am not sure it will top it but it will be just as much fun exercising minds and bodies to be a DREAM Stretch Star for life. We recently filmed the outdoor sections of the video including Pattern Power and the Well Being Wind Down. We are so fortunate to have the serene and beautiful backdrop of the gorgeous home of a close family friend and had such a wonderful day to create colorful scenes for the video.

The most exciting news for the Gymathtics II video is our new cast members. Anika, an active and enthusiastic fourth grader, and her brother, Sean, a very happy kindergartener, are joining the original Gymathtics cast to bring more fun to the group. Aaron, Felicia, Kelsey and Jonathan are all having fun learning and practicing the routines together with Anika and Sean.

At the first filming, the creative team came up with a unique idea for the beginning of the Well Being Wind Down segment. The cast will definitely make a big Splash in that scene. No, this is not High School Musical 2 but Gymathtics II has a pool scene with a twist. You will have to wait for the video to find out.

More coming about the making of Gymathtics II as we practice a new section called Algebra Aerobics. Yes, Algebra to exercise can be fun to condition the heart and head for a healthy life.

MTV Movie Awards

Another incredible experience sharing the Award Winning Gymathtics DVD with celebrities at the Connected! MTV Movie Awards Gift Suite. We met over 60 celebrities during the two day event including Erik Estrada, Fred Willard, Christopher Atkins, Leticia Cyrus, David Henrie, Debby Ryan, Emily Grace Reaves, and Sterling Knight.

Not only, did we share the amazing Gymathtics routine that encourages everyone to be a DREAM Stretch Star. But we gave t-shirts with this slogan to the Hollywood Stars and many celebrities also signed shirts that will be auctioned to support a children's charity.

Each and every celebrity we meet are so nice. This time we had a lot of fun talking with Daniel Curtis Lee who is on the new Zeke and Luther show (by the way, Adam Hicks does not seem like his character at all - amazing acting). He was so interested in learning more about our program that he started trying out the exercises right there with the video. Check out the video with Daniel.
We also really enjoyed talking to Tiffany Thornton from Sonny with a Chance. This was our second time meeting Tiffany and Felicia ran over giving her a hug when she walked in the door. I was very enthusiastic to hear if she tried the Gymathtics program with her 4-year old nephew that was going to be visiting a few weeks after the Kids Choice Awards. Well, she did try it with him and he LOVED it!! "Check it out" and hear all of her great comments on YouTube including Felicia and Tiffany doing the check it out girls routine for Get Fit! Get Smart! Have Fun!

So much to write, So little time...

Exploramania was invited to participate in the Kids' Choice Awards Celebrity Gift Lounge in March. We met over 40 celebrities and shared the Award Winning Gymathtics DVD with them explaining our product and asking them to participate in the GET FIT! GET SMART! HAVE FUN! Slogan Challenge. We have blogged about a few and put up videos on the Exploramania YouTube channel for many. Life is just so busy as a mom and entrepreneur that the goal of blogging about each celebrity will probably not come to fruition. Later this week we are going back to Hollywood for the MTV Movie Awards Gift Room and will meet even more celebrities during the two day event.

Just a final note that meeting these celebrities at the KCA Gift Room was so surreal and exciting. Everyone was so nice and seemed genuinely interested in our vision to help children develop a love of learning and healthy lifestyle to be a DREAM STRETCH Star for life.

We will continue to add new videos to so check back each week to see which celebrity video was added. With our next trip to CA, there will be even more videos coming from that visit.

May is Physical Fitness Awareness Month

May is the perfect month for Physical Fitness Awareness Month. In many warmer climates, it is still a good temperature to be active outdoors before the heat of the summer sets in. In the cooler climates, it is getting warmer and just the beginning of fun outdoor activities as the summer approaches.

What physical activities have you (or your children) done lately? There are so many fun fitness activities that you can do as a family to keep everyone active. The Award Winning Exploracise Gymathtics DVD is one activity that everyone can do together or kids can do while parents are busy with household responsibilities. Get a complete 30 minute workout while learning about math and healthy lifestyle concepts. Children as young as age 3 to as young-at-heart as age 73 can enjoy the exercise program.

There are many outdoor activities from kicking a ball to swimming. You can add math into many of these activities. The example uses counting and adding with basketball. Aaron and Felicia like to play a basketball game called 21. You have to get a total number of points of 21. Depending upon which line you shoot from determines how many points you get for that basket. Once someone wins the game by reaching twenty one, we also jog around the play area counting from 21 down to 0 just to get in a little extra exercise and math. Add comments on fun active ideas that you do to keep kids exercising their minds and bodies.

Get Active for Summer

Last Saturday, Gymathtics was mentioned in a Tampa article about indoor active ideas to keep kids moving during the summer months. The Exploracise Gymathtics DVD was also nominated for the Dr. Toy Vacation Products Award to be announced in June. In Florida, it can be too hot or rainy to do outdoor activities and safe indoor alternatives are key.

In addition to being active like the WII or other exercise videos for kids, Gymathtics incorporates educational concepts to keep their minds active too. During the summer months while kids are on break, Gymathtics exercises kids minds and bodies with learning math facts and healthy lifestyle concepts during a 30-minute workout.

The combination of exercise with multisensory learning actually helps children learn the information more completely increasing retention and understanding of concepts. The best part about the program is that children do not even realize they are learning while they are having fun doing to the exercise routine.

The Award Winning Exploracise Gymathtics DVD and other exer-gaming products are a great way for busy parents to keep kids active while at home over the summer. Visit to learn more about the product and see a short video clip.

The Exploramania Dream and Overcoming Obstacles

Just before Felicia entered school full-time, Adam and I participated in a seminar called Maui Mastermind. The leader, David Finkel, and the guest speaker, Elizabeth Kanna, both spoke about stretching your mind to create BIG dreams, finding your passions and understanding your unique talents. As I moved into the next phase of my life, I wanted to return to my passions for helping children and math education. I wondered how could I use my unique talents of product development and planning to fuel my passions and create a BIG dream? The brainstorming began and Exploramania was born. The vision of helping children learn through fun interactive experiences grew into the first series and product, Exploracise Gymathtics. I wanted to create products that synthesize education and a healthy lifestyle, beginning with my passion for math education.

However, I have never made a movie and never created an exercise program. An even bigger obstacle was that I have an autoimmune disease that creates joint and muscle pain that could have been a major obstacle in creating a children's exercise video.

I moved forward and worked with an amazing video production company,, who helped provide some initial direction in creating the movie. I was also lucky that my friend and neighbor Joanne, who lives across the street from me, is an expert in the fitness industry. When Joanne and I first met to create the routine, I did not know what bpm (beats per minute) meant and she was not sure about a quadrilateral. Yet together we began creating a kids workout that will help so many children.

Under physician supervision, we developed, practiced and taped the exercise routine. As I exercised to practice and create the program, the extra exercise made my body feel better instead of worse. Again, knowing my medical issues, I would have told someone they were crazy to think I would create an exercise video for kids. But, I visualized my dream and succeeded by overcoming my biggest obstacle and believing that no obstacle would get in my way. I hope my story shows others that you can reach for your dreams and achieve them when you put your mind to it.

"Sonny" Stars with Exploramania at Kid's Choice Awards

It was so exciting to meet Tiffany Thornton and Doug Brochu from Sonny with a Chance. This show just began recently and we had only seen one episode before participating in the Kid's Choice Awards. Funny enough the episode we saw was where Tiffany Thornton wore a bald cap to protest negative comments about her on the web. So, Felicia was very interested in the bald cap and asking her about it. We were so excited to share Gymathtics with Tiffany because she has a nephew that is just at the right age to enjoy the program. She mentioned that she was going to share it with him during an up coming family visit. We know that he will enjoy it and they will Get Fit! Get Smart! and Have Fun together!

I think Felicia's favorite episode that we have watched since the event is the Check It Out Girls. Even though this episode also included the ideas of learning geometry, I was a little concerned about some of the messages being presented. Of course, we have to remember that these shows are entertainment and can be enjoyed knowing that they are not real. "Check Out" the videos of Tiffany and Doug's versions of the Gymathtics Get Fit! Get Smart! Have Fun! slogan on the Exploramania YouTube Channel. "Yeah, Check it Out!" Check Out the Gymathtics video at Check Out the Gymathtics program on your TV! Check Out Your Kids getting healthy using the video! Check Out 30 minutes of quiet while your kids are using the video!

Experience Family Fun

Exploramania wants to develop products that create interactive educational experiences. Everyone can have fun through hands-on experiences at any age. You can create your own experiences in your home, yard, neighborhood, or take a trip.

This past weekend we celebrated Felicia's birthday by taking a trip to Orlando. She experienced special time with Daddy camping and sleeping in a tent and a special day with family and friends at Epcot. There are so many wonderful places to learn through hands on experiences including science centers, museums, gardens, and last weekend it was Epcot.

We are so fortunate to live in Florida and have experienced Epcot before as a family. However, each time we learn something new and experience something different. This time we tried the new Team Possible adventure which had the kids searching for clues and finding secret treasures in the countries. I think Japan may have been the favorite for both the adventure
and the gift shop.
With summer just around the corner, plan some fun family day trips to local sites. If you do some research in advance, you can create your own thrilling adventure to learn about new things through fun interactive experiences. You can also have a fun interactive experience right in your
home with Gymathtics. Visit to learn more or order your copy.
